Sharing Bans... Getting your bans to other people
Well, you have many well rounded bans. You have been banning people for a while using our phrases format, and you feel like others should be receiving your bans. Well, there are two ways to go accomplish this.
Banlist Sharing Forum:
Go to the Banlist Sharing Forum at Banlist.nl. You can create a post explaining yourself, your bans, and your custom comments in order to convince people to start downloading your bans.
Things to include:
Title: (Names Banlist) (Realm) (Number of Bans) (Number of Downloaders- optional)
Ex: Sephrams Banlist [LSG] [456 bans] [129 downloaders]
- A brief description of your Dota Playing and Banlist Usage
- Your Battle.net Account and Banlist account
- What you ban for
- What you dont ban for
- The Phrases you use
- Any other relevant info
Example Post
People will start posting about your Banlist within a few days and you should have a few DLers by that time as well. Make sure that you check back on your post for errors that our members might find so you can fix them right away.
To see who is downloading your banlist:
Go to Banlist.nl, Tools Tab. Scroll down to see how many people download your bans. You can also click "Show Names" to see exactly who is downloading your list. If someone is downloading your list, it is also common courtesy to check out his or her Banlist.
Become a Sharing Group Member:
Each realm is also accepting Sharing Group members. These are members who are active members and have responsible bans that they would like to share with the community. Each realm has its own requirements to become a sharing group member. Please PM your realm leader to receive these requirements.
Once you are accepted, you are an official Shared Host, so it’s your responsibility to keep banning fairly. We will be watching!
