Appealing Bans

"I got banned by someone on Battle.net? What do I do now?"

For many of you, this may be why you are here. There are many reasons why you could have been placed on a bannlist, but you really want to stop being kicked out of games. Well, this is how:

First, go to the Banlist Home Page. Under the Navigation Bar, click on the Tools Tab. Once you get there, type in your Battle.net name under Search Buddies Banlists. If you see the following, you have no problems:

Or, you may have many bans, like the following:

HINT: Pay special attention to names with a forum account. You can safely ignore any bans without a forum account... They do not share their bans with anyone besides close friends.
If you find that you are banned by someone with a forum account, you have to find out which users are Approved Hosts or XML Sharing Group Hosts. They are the only people you can appeal to in the appeals thread. You can find the lists here:
If you are banned by one of these people, then you can create an appeal in the Appeals Thread. Or, you can try to whisper to him or her on Battle.net, which usually works just as well.

Please, before you post an appeal, read the Appeal Rules and an Example Appeal. They have all the information you need to post a good appeal.
And remember, try to remain courteous during your appeal. Most hosts will grant your appeal if you DO NOT LIE and you truly do not intend to leave or flame again. We realize that everyone makes mistakes and the fact that you made an account to appeal means that you do care.
